Kathleen(Yamin) obtained her undergraduate degrees in Accounting and Economic Law from Zhongnan University of Economics and Law in China in 2000 and her Canadian law degree from University of Windsor in 2008.

Prior to joining law school in Windsor, Kathleen worked in the finance department of a multi-national company’s China operation, worked as project officer for the China program of an international non-profit organization and ran a consulting business with her husband in Canada.

During her articling year with one of Canada’s top business law firms in their Ottawa office, Kathleen participated in advising clients, reviewing contracts, drafting various documents  and conducting due diligence for several high profile transactions. Her strength lies in solid problem-solving and legal research skills, which founded her ability to tailor practical and innovative solutions to any given situation a client may present.

Kathleen focuses her practice on wills, trusts and estate planning, real estate and business law.

In addition to developing her legal practice, Kathleen enjoys cooking, hiking, and volunteering at IVCF’s International Student Friendship Program at the University of Ottawa.
